KEEP SOLUTIONS is an academic spin-off of the University of Minho. KEEP offers a wide range of products and services to support the creation and maintenance of digital archives, museums and digital libraries. Its services and products consist of information technology consulting, digital preservation consulting, information analysis, data transformation and migration, information systems analysis and design, digital repositories design, development and support (e.g. DSpace, EPrints, Fedora Commons, RODA, DigitArq), and electronic publication solutions design.
The close connection of KEEP SOLUTIONS to the University of Minho enables a direct contact with the most recent lines of research. As a spin-off of the University of Minho the adaptation of research developed in academia to the market needs forms part of its mission.
Being born from an R&D platform, KEEP SOLUTIONS remains active in the production of scientific knowledge. It has a considerable number of publications and it is often represented at scientific events.

O weebox é um sistema de gestão documental que tem como principais objectivos ser simples de instalar, manter e utilizar.
Poderá ser considerado como uma nova abordagem à gestão documental. O seu lema é "Gestão documental simplificada", tendencialmente aliviando o utilizador de realizar tarefas repetitivas e desnecessárias. Imagino um sistema de gestão documental que se assemelhe a uma caixa de sapatos. Cartas, fotografias, memorabilia são despejadas para o seu interior sem mais preocupações. Quando precisarmos de um documento que se encontre na caixa, basta abrir a caixa e dizer em voz alta o que se quer e o documento imediatamente vem ter comnosco. -

The CRiB is a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) designed to assist cultural heritage institutions in the implementation of migration-based preservation interventions. The CRiB system works by assessing the quality of distinct conversion applications or services to produce recommendations of optimal migration strategies. The recommendations produced by the system take into account the specific preservation requirements of each client institution.

Development site of the Repository of Authentic Digital Objects project.
In mid 2006, the Portuguese National Archives launched a project called RODA – Repository of Authentic Digital Objects – aiming at identifying and bringing together all the necessary technology, human resources and political support to carry out long-term preservation of digital materials. As part of the original goals of the project, RODA was the development of a digital repository capable of ingesting, managing and providing continuous access to various types of digital objects produced by national public institutions.
